You told me that you changed your number when I cut my hair off.

i think it was the 4.6. water consumption is certainly less with the HE. i assume the electricity is lower too, but there's just 2 of us so we don't have to do much laundry. 1-2 loads every other week to do most of our clothes. i'm sure we also save energy on drying because clothes come out much dryer from the high spin speed. we've also always used cold water only with a cold water detergent, so that saves plenty of energy on heating the water. i think i heard some where that most of the energy used in washing is heating the water. What size did you get? I can only fit a 3.6 CU. It seems that the smaller ones are where a majority of the complaints are. You might be right, as far as reading the directions go, but unfortunately my wife and kids, I already know, won't like it if they have to do something different. Just had an argument about that this morning on another issue as I was leaving for work.
How about water consumption / electrical usage...you see a difference?
I bought a Troybilt snow blower this year and yeah, it has the dayum Tecumseh engine on it instead of a Briggs and Straton. What problems are you having with it? The only one I know of is the guy at Lowes told me to drain the fuel from the bowl after you shut it down.Yard equipment: I have been a TroyBilt fan for 25 years. I bought an alleged TroyBilt snow blower & weed wacker and have had lots of trouble with them because they really aren't made by Troy Bilt. They're made by MTD (Murray) which is made by the Chinese. They also have engines NOT made by Briggs & Stratton or Tecumseh but by some CHEAP Chinese company and sold to us under a name that we Americans used to rely on.
Mine is a "Storm 2620". I don't think it even has a Tecumseh engine. It says China on the side of it! The problem I have is throttle surging. When I start it, I move the choke lever to run and it surges terribly. If I move the lever to half choke, it runs perfectly.I bought a Troybilt snow blower this year and yeah, it has the dayum Tecumseh engine on it instead of a Briggs and Straton. Yesterday I went to an authorized Troybilt repair shop and they said there isn't a lot they can do about it. They'll look at it since it's still under warranty but he made sure to tell me it could be bad gas for which there would be a charge...of course!! I told him that I've never used it but I have run it a few times and have drained ALL the gas out. Now I'm wondering if it's even worth the hassle to bring it in...
That's what surging is...There are a few YouTube entries about this so it isn't an isolated problem. Murray should recall them but they won't.Sounds as though it's not getting all the fuel it should.......
