Mel Fishers Treasure museum, Hemingway's house and museum tour. Take a ride on the conch train. Drinking everywhere, Capt.Tony's, actually got to meet him. Sloppy Joes.
Have to catch, the sunset on Sunset Pier, always some entertainment there.

Things to do? Places to eat? Places to drink?

Yes.

My advice is to do the Duval Crawl, eating and drinking your way around. Do not neglect the ratty holes in the wall because those are some of the most fun places.

Make it a point to see the sunset celebration at Mallory Square - in my opinion this is a must.

A horse of course!
Don't chase the chickens roaming around in the streets. You'll get a ticket....don't ask me how i know....it had been a very long pub crawl.....

Definitely plan to spend many many hours on Duvall St.

I heard the sunsets there are amazing.

According to the weather machine, it'll be 80* and partly sunny all next week. Enjoy the cold! :yahoo:

The best way to see Key West is by bike. Rent on for about 20 bucks for the day. Mallory Square at Sunset is a great time. Duval Street is ok, full of t-shirt shops. Bourbon Street Pub is neat, mixed crowd. Sloppy Joes is across the street, and they generally have decent live music. Off of Duval you will find lots of great restaurants and eateries. I say, get a bike and just explore.

Throw back a few frozen ones at Fat Tuesdays and eat at Pepe's Restaurant near the harbor on Caroline st. Breakfast there is awesome.

I heard Key West was San Francisco east. Lots of Tailgunners down there.

Have been going there since the late 70's, very cool and laid back place for everybody. Nobody there has ever bothered me before and i try not to bother anybody. If that is your opinion of the place, then feel free to never go down there and experience it. No disrespect intended by this post. JMHO

I almost ran into one with about nothing on. Not watching where I was going. This is what, I have nothing against gays, but these, um, dudes are way over the line. Fishnets and mini skirts? High heels? Gag me.

Sounds like the time I took the kids to Kings Dominion a few years back and found out once I got there it was Gay Pride Day. I was standing in the line with the boys and we were behind a crew of dudes wearing all shiny leather and latex I think. Most were kissing each other and such and my 5 YO son looked up at me with this "look" and I was TOTALLY expecting him to say "Dad, what the F*CK are they doing?" :killingme
