I have a letter from CSM for my daughter, but I do not think it is for what is posted. She is a high honors student and taking 2 acredited college courses now in Calvert HIgh. The letter I received is for more college credit BEFORE she actually enrolls and can get these credits if she decides to sign up for summer classes; Is this what this thread is about? sorry if I misunderstood....

Check out their website - College of Saint Mary•An All Women's Catholic College in Omaha,NE - and click on Teen College. They have camps/classes for teens (12-17, I think) but I think that is different from what you are talking about.

You know, I got the CSM catalog in the mail that is promoting the Kid's College, but I just don't get it. They have a class on playing with Legos. Huh? Oh, and it'll set you back about $139. I mean, why not just buy a bunch of Legos at that cost and let their imaginations run wild?

For one thing, it's in the summertime when school is out. This is a camp & it's a place for kids to be for 1/2 the day for 1 week while their parents are at work so they won't do things kids are wont to do when no one is around to supervise them. For another thing, kids can learn a TON of things by playing with legos. Not just social skills, but fine motor skills, executive planning, math skills & that's just a few.

Sure, you're paying money for it, but $139 is not a bad price, compared to some of the camps I've been looking at. The kids are sharing a love of that particular activity with others & they are building all the Stars Wars models. My son (13) would love to take it, but he is supposed to be going to his dad's (FL) that week. He's crazy about Star Wars and loves Legos -it would be like heaven to him!

My daughter took the 1 week "legal eagles" and "Crime Scene Investigation" classes last summer... she loved it!
