Kids sharing a bedroom...

Are there any MD laws regarding opposite sex siblings sharing a room? I have been told that there are laws regarding that, but I can't seem to find any.

What are the ages? I don't think any teenager would want to share a room with his/her younger sibling.

They each have their own room now, but they still end up sharing a room! I want to downsize apartments and was told that I *must* have a three bedroom because it is the law. I can't find said law.

Ages?

Suggestion, anonymously (sp?) call social services and tell them of the situation. If there was an issue that'd be who you'd deal with anyway.

I was told that kids of the opposite sex could not share a room over the age of 2.

Who told you that? I don't think it's true. There are all kinds of low-income people who have children bunking together, so I don't know how they could make a law like that.

Of course, they make all kinds of stupid laws that make absolutely no sense, so

Foxchase Apartment manager told me that I could not rent a 2 bedroom apartment because the State says that opposite sex siblings cannot share a room after the age of 2. I even told them that the girls would share one room and my boy would have his own. I had planned on sleeping on a sleeper sofa. Nope, they said that it was the law.

When I was with my ex (in the military) I think they went with age 6 when determining how many bedrooms for base housing. I don't know if it's "law", but common practice.

Property manager just called me back because he further researched it because it sounded off to him. No law that he could see, no problem. I got the apartment so thats cool:)

I know someone who could not get Section 8 because the State would not allow her to put her kids in the same bedroom. They only allowed her enough money to rent a 2 bedroom but they stated that she needed a 3. You should definently call CPS or the housing authority before you make a decision.

I called the lawyers office and got directed to Planning and Zoning, from there I got directed to social services who confirmed that my children could share a room. Who is the property manager over there now?

I have no freaking clue. I've call everywhere from hell and back looking for an affordable apartment or house.
