She screwed up, but so did the guy she shot. What possible good will it do to put her away for a long time?

It'll give her time to learn the difference between a firearm and a ****in taser.

We just read a story about a rapist who had been arrested over 70 times and he was walking around free.

That mfer should have been put down like a rabid dog a while back it sounds like.

She's the cop who went to tase a shitbag, pulled her gun by mistake, and shot him dead.

Do we all agree that she was negligent - and how - and will be found guilty? Or is this worth discussing?
My vote is she'll be found guilty of manslaughter and given a suspended sentence or time served in consideration of the hundreds of crimes she prevented the perp from performing in the future.

After reading about the shitbag, I'm thinking it may have been divine intervention.

Whether they're close together or not, I've held and fired a gun before.
I've held a taser (but not fired) before.
Having held both of these devices, I would go on record saying that even in a stressful situation I'd be able to tell the difference just by feel.

So... I stand corrected.
Apparently there are a bunch of tasers that do, in fact, look close enough to pistols, that I can actually see how this mistake was made.

With THAT being said...

Why the **** would you keep a non-lethal weapon that looks like a lethal weapon, right next to the actual lethal weapon that it looks like.
Am I wrong for thinking that this is exceptionally stupid?

How is there not a procedural requirement for keeping these two weapons separate and brain-dead easy to distinguish from one another, even in high pressure intense situations; nay, ESPECIALLY in high pressure intense situations? For that matter - why do they make tasers that look and feel like a goddamn gun?

Am I missing something?

Does she keep the dynamite sticks right next to the road flares in her trunk, like Wile E. Coyote?

Because that **** never seems to work out very well for the coyote either.

That's why I asked where the taser is in relationship to the gun holster. It wouldn't just be her, it would be all cops because uniform, and if they are right there next to each other mix ups would happen all the time. And since they don't, I have to believe that there is a decent distance between the two, and she either had a brain malfunction or did it on purpose.

Minneapolis activist charged with intimidating Kim Potter trial judge

Rice is accused of participating in a Nov. 6 demonstration outside a downtown Minneapolis condominium complex he and others believed to be where Hennepin County Judge Regina Chu lived. The alleged purpose was to intimidate her to allow a camera inside the courtroom for Potter’s trial.

According to the criminal complaint, Rice entered the building near Minneapolis’ Loring Park while livestreaming himself on YouTube. "We on her heels," he is heard saying in the video, according to court documents. "What she think … we want cameras. The people deserve to know."

Once outside the door of a 12th-floor unit, he allegedly stated, "I don't know if this is her crib. I think this is her crib right here. We got confirmation that this is her house right here." It’s unclear if the unit belonged to Chu at the time or if she was present during the incident.

Nothing ever happens to these people. If they even get arrested, they just get released and that's that.

And what happens when you teach children there are no consequences to their behavior?

I have no sympathy for the dolts in charge of these ####holes anymore.

You don't think threatening a Judge is something another Judge might care about? It's not like this was criminal vs criminal activity.

This woman is surely going to be found guilty, so I'm not sure why these aholes are rioting and threatening everyone. I'm guessing that's just what they do. Mindless violent bots.

Man Who Protested Potter Trial Judge Charged With Harassment, Arrested In Wisconsin

According to a complaint filed in Hennepin County, Rice has been charged with one count of harassment involving retaliation against a judicial officer.

Chu said she believed she was the target of Rice and other protestors. She said the “intention was to intimidate her and interfere with the judicial process,” the complaint said.

Rice helped lead a protest on Nov.6 outside what he believed was Chu’s apartment building in downtown Minneapolis.

During the protest, Rice, who is close with Wright’s family, went into the apartment building and streamed himself live on Facebook as he approached what he believed was the judge’s apartment door.

Kim Potter trial: Daunte Wright robbery victim recounts 'evil' deed in exclusive first interview

MINNEAPOLIS – EXCLUSIVE: Struggling with loss, she moved out on her own at 18, got a job and did her best to make ends meet – until Daunte Wright showed up in her Minnesota living room with a handgun and tried to steal from her.

[clip]

And then a high school acquaintance brought Wright over, and he allegedly shoved a pistol in her face, choked her and threatened her life in a failed attempt to steal $820 she meant to give to her landlord one day in December 2019.

"What just blows my mind is that someone can literally strangle someone to where they can’t breathe, they can’t even gasp for air, because their airways are getting crushed," she told Fox News Digital in her first news interview. "No one should have to go through something like that and then have to accept death at 20 years old – looking into somebody’s eyes while they are holding a loaded gun to you."

The victim, now 22, asked Fox News Digital to withhold her name, although she was comfortable speaking about the incident on camera and said it was OK to show her face.
