Well from the looks of her the kittens will be very pretty. You can take the mom and the babies to the Well Pet Clinic and get everyone spayed/neutered at the age of 8 weeks and over 2lbs for the kittens and mom will be fine then also. Mom will cost $55.00 and the male kittens $30.00 and the females I think are $40.00 I know it is not your fault she was an unspayed cat and maybe it is not totally your responsibility to get everyone altered first but if you don't then fair warning whomever they go to may not be responsible enough to spay them and then even more kittens will be popping up and end up at the shelter. I would have them all altered and collect an adoption fee for them. Just a thought.

Are you saying that you have onlyhad this cat for a couple months. Gestation is like 60 days or so.

63 days. I got her in February from a friend who was moving and couldn't take the cat with her and she was going to drop her off at the shelter. I told her I would take the cat because it broke my heart to see her go to the shelter because I saw her grow from a kitten. I didn't mean to start this thread to make everyone mad, since this is the cats section, I just wanted to see if anyone wanted or knew of anyone that wants a kitten.

I think it is great that you took the mamma cat in and are now trying to find homes for them. I guess no matter how hard some people try to do the right thing, it is never enough. :shrug: Good Job!

I'd love to have one but.....all the dogs have a cat now.

Im not meaning to give you grief. I would gladly take one or two but someone beat you by 2 weeks. I am proud mama to 2 brand new babys. If I hear of anyone I will let you know. Please, at least have momma spayed after the kittens are grown so this doesnt happen again. I have enough cats now with 4, it looks like yours are going to be very pretty. I would of taken them but sorry. Im at limit.

That is awesome. I think you are a good persong trying to do the best you can. Your heart is in the right place. Please keep us posted and we would love to see pics. This is a great place to help the kittens find a home, once they have been spayed or neutered.

Thanks. Believe me, they will all be spayed/neutered as soon as the kittens are old enough. I honestly thought the previous owner had the mother spayed, she owned her for over a year, but imagine my surprise when mama went into heat.

Yeah I had to have a C Section on a himmy a few weeks ago $600 added but she is spayed now so I wont have to worry about her again..and I lost all 4 kittens..She was a CFA champion bred to a CFA Grandchampion...those things happen..good luck with yours...I bet they will be cute kittens..

Sounds like someone has nothing better to do, it's not like I said I was going to use the kittens to make a coat, I AM TRYING TO FIND THEM GOOD HOMES, and some wonderful people on this forum have answered my post with a possibility of great homes. This isn't directed at you Paso, it's just irritating how many nasty karma messages I got because I am trying to do a nice thing rather than take the kittens to a shelter.
