Kitties Fixed!

Woo hoo! Finally got the last of the females fixed that are part of my colony. Now all I have are the boys who have been hanging around the last few months. About 5 of them but other then the bickering about who is the manliest man cat, we won't have to worry about little kittens arriving in great numbers! And I can take my time in working to get the boys fixed which is great for me! I seem to need a great deal of time to get anything accomplished lately!

I am so relieved that all of the girls are fixed. NOW will life calm down and stop throwing bombs at me please?

:yahoo: THAT'S GREAT !!!!!!! There are still cats I didn't trap at the barn. 1 female and 2 males that haven't been caught, but the feeder said she would get the female somehow - I sure hope so or the same problem will be there again by next year.

this is what I do with the traps. I take a zip tie and tie the trap door open with it. Then I set the traps around the ares where the cats hang out all the time. Sometimes I put a little food in them - but most of the time I don't. Sometimes the traps are sitting around like that for months. The cats get used to them being there and they are part of the normal environment. Sometimes the cats sleep in them - often on top of them. So, when it's time to trap - I just cut off the zip tie and set the trap for real and they aren't afraid of them so they go right into them. This time I even trapped one cat with no food in the traps at all. How good is that! It has never taken me more then 15 minutes to trap cats.

Believe me we know all the tricks. Problem is that leaving traps here unsupervised means risking they may disappear.

Well, my cats are at my house and we have 1.5 acres with 10 acres next to it. If someone comes onto my property to steal my traps - I am shooting them.

I have the traps Ark recommends. They are GREAT.

yes it is sad that you can't leave a cat trap out - I mean how many people really NEED something like that so badly they must resort to STEALING?

Sad sad world we live in.

It sucks that someone would take it, ridiculous that you can't even leave your cat trap to do it's job. Some people suck.
