knee pads

Someone told me that babies don't have knee caps so it doesn't bother them but I havn't looked that up to see if she was right.

They do have kneecaps. Their bones are alot more cartilaginous, so it probably doesn't bother them like it does us.

Has anyone ever tried baby knee pads? I have a baby who is starting to crawl and we have mostly wood floors in our house. Thought it would feel better if she had some cushion. Is it a waste of money?

I do have a girl but I'm not sure she would look cute in those. It's propably just me but the first thought that came to my mind was "burn victim"

I've seen those in cute colors, and have seen a boy wearing green/blue striped ones (reminded me of rugby stripes). He was itty bitty, like four or five months old, and it was cute.

She loves to slap the floor with her hand. When I pick her up her knees are red and chafed. She has never cried but it looks like it hurts. When I get on my knees on the wood floor (just to play with her, nothing dirty), it hurts my knees. Mine has the same thing on his knees i just put some clear baby balm on it at night. He is speedy gonzalez around my house, so i assume it doesn't bother him that much or he would be gimping around

baby's are made to crawl without any padding. I am at a brain block right now but something does not develop until the age of 2 so that they can crawl...
