Kristi Noem Lies about meeting Kim Jong UN

She didn't deny it last night on Jesse Watters either. I don't care about the dog story, but I can't understand how she secretly spoke to KJU at the DMZ.
Those were some serious verbal gymnastics she was performing. "I was at the DMZ, I met high officials, I've met many world leaders, many of whom I don't speak of."

Ok, I am now trying to figure out something. Articles I have read say that the book isn't actually out yet.

So - audiobook notwithstanding - this is over something that hasn't actually hit the shelves yet?

The publisher must have distributed a few advance copies for publicity.
Well that's almost certainly the case - and people are reacting to this BEFORE it is released, even though probably every book published has revisions prior to release - but I'm wondeing - why the hell was it in there, to begin with? Was it ghost-written and based on notes cribbed from her material? If so, how does an audiobook end up having this stuff in it?

I'm not taking sides here - but I tend to think people do stuff like this for a reason - and it's not always "bat-sht crazy".

Back in the 80's and early 90's, politicians said stuff all the time that took SERIOUS journalistic effort to corroborate, because we didn't have the Internet then. Of course back THEN journalists had something resembling an antagonistic position regarding politicians and the important thing was "get the story!" - not kiss the right politician's ass. Hence, we had Gary Hart and the Donna Rice story - where he DARED the media to find instances of his infidelity - AND THEY DID. And he was believed to be the best Dem candidate for 88.

(It's my opinion that journalists - we used to call them "reporters" - have ZERO interest in "getting the scoop" so much as pleasing some political faction with what they learn. Don't folks here remember TV shows and movies about daring reporters getting "the story"?)

So how did this crap end up in her book, since she certainly knew that it was not only false, but could be PROVED to be false, very easily?

My guess, and I did not stay awake to watch her interview last night, is that some of this is taking a small event or experience and exagerating it for effect.

My bet would be the same for the book reviewer, take some snippet out of the book and exagerate it for headlines, clicks or something for the Cricket Eater and Morning Schmo to rant about.

Side note: How many people actually ever buy Politicians memoirs or Political skreeds?

I can't say I've ever purchased even one.

Only self-promoting book I ever bought and read was from Bruce Campbell because I was betting it would be gut splitting funny, and it wasn't. 😞

Becuase she wanted to prove to Trump and his minions how tough she was by staring down a dictator and by shooting a puppy.

She's a moron and her advisors need to be fired.

She wrote it thinking no one would fact check it and then read the audio book herself like a true idiot.

How do you exaggerate meeting Kim Jung On? You did or you didn't?

Are you saying she met a North Korean and exaggerated it?

Jesus you really come up with some stupid chit when defending the indefensible.

:roflmao: Wow! That got under your skin for some reason! :roflmao:

Did it remind you too much of the Esteemed "Biden The Bullshit?"

... Later today Joe is gonna regale us with tales of growing up a poor Mexican Orphan in Tijuana. :jet:
Didn't he go to a HBC?
