No, YOU mentioned agent Mikeska and to find her "lower standard" to get into the FBI.. did it.
And she passed the exact same training course that male FBI agents must pass even with her less stringent entrance requirements. Doesn't this show that one doesn't have to be over 6 foot and 200 pounds of muscle to make the grade and perform equally with others regardless of gender?
AND to get to the SWAT selection you first have to be a cop on a particular department.. and I would bet THEY have different/ lower standards for women than men throughout the process.
Maybe entry requirements to get on the force, but what we are talking about are the requirements for making the tactical teams. Are there seperate standards?
Some of us have lived it, personally I did for 20 years. Luckily the job I did in the Army the differences in physical ability between men and women were recognized, and to this day women are sill not allowed to do it.
Yeah, I bet women would have a tough time walking around and scratching their balls, but I am sure there are some that could be just as proficient as you.
So what about Special Weapons And Tactics makes a woman ineligible when women have successfully completed the training to the same standard?
And what you might be missing is that the LA Chief is changing the standard for all and not just women. So that would mean once again that they are all competing to a single standard. There are two questions, as I see it, one, does the Chief set the standards or do those already on SWAT set the standards; and two, should those making SWAT be the best of the best without regard to gender?
