That's very observant of you. You want a pat on the back?

No. But I would like a cookie. Preferrably a nice, soft, homemade oatmeal raisin cookie. If you don't have that, then I'll take a snickerdoodle. Not the fake store-bought kind, but the homemade kind. If you don't have those, then I'll take a chocolate chip I guess. Thanks!

Lady needs to be stopped 08-10-2007 03:39 PM Then go do something with your life instead of sitting around and reading about something you don't care about. Get off the animal forum if you don't want to read it.

Like you know what I do with my life and what I have to do with animals.

This is from the housing handbook: The limit is 2 dogs OR cats per Premises.

So yes, she is breaking the housing rules, but the only way she will be stopped is if someone reports her. Because of people like her, I have found myself rescuing, treating, spaying, (all at a high price to me) and rehoming a few of our furry little friends. I have rescued cats and even hamsters over the years, ALL from base housing. Very sad...

The problem with reporting someone like this is......

The animals will be taken and killed straight away. The government will waste NO time looking for a foster or rescue.

That's it?

Pretty much. You don't need to be here complaining about animal owners when you have no frame of reference. You do not have compassion for animals. You are not contributing to the overpopulation of animals  So you just don't belong in this fight.

Who said she didn't care about animals or ever own animals (i.e. frame of reference)? The question was did she currently own one  You can care about animals without currently owning any and without dedicating loads of time and money rescuing them

I don't need to be complaining about animal owners? That's rich.

I don't know where you got the idea that I don't have compassion for animals, but where you keep your head is your business.

I'm not contributing to the overpopulation of animals? Would you like to rephrase that?

1) You do not have animals so it does not affect you..no need to complain.

2) You have made it obvious that you do not care about animals. You are here complaining about people that are complaining about the overpopulation of pets.

3) You are not contributing to the overpopulation of pets because you don't have animals screwing and making babies in your house.

Either you are a backyard breeder here defending your right to abuse your animals or you are a person that is concerned with the welfare of animals and trying to promote the spay or neuter of household pets.. You don't fit in either group.

Wow! There are only two kinds of people who can enter this argument? How f'ed up is that.

I was thinking Elaine went a bit overboard at first, but now I think she is spot on between this and Cowgirl's responses. Sanctamonious is definitely the word. Talk about proving a point.

If you don't have animals why would you care?

Great. Good for you. What do you do in your daily life about abortion?

There ya' go FT. If you're not standing in front of a church with crosses stuck all over the ground, you're not compassionate.

...and ya' know what Geek? It's none of your business how others contribute to society.

It is if the dogs that they don't neuter end up in the rescue I volunteer for. Their inaction leads to animal deaths and overpopulation.

And I am pro choice.

Not everyone is compelled to tell others what they do. For some, feeling good about it is the reward.
