I hope this jackass answers his phone after school, guess it's possible it was off because he was in school but what teenager doesn't have vm set up? To be very honest, call LM everyday. Annoy the hell outta them to make sure they keep trying to get in touch with this kid. They have so many claims to deal with that they may not call the guy every day.

Ask what you can do to expedite things, not that it should be up to you but sometimes it helps move things along when the insured isn't cooperating. Take pictures of the damages with the date stamp on them. I'm not sure if you can pick up a copy of the police report and get it to them faster than they can get it when they order it or if they would even pay you based on the police report if he won't call them? Wouldn't it be nice if people would just call their damn insurance company when they screw up?

well it turns out the kid had a prepaid phone that is no longer active. :cds:So now I have to wait for LM's "obligation to make their client aware of a possible claim going against their policy" which could take up to 30 days. They have sent a letter :bigwhoop: I've dont my part - sent them pics and have someone coming out for driveway and yard estimates this week. It is what it is I guess.

That really sucks, typical pos little punk! Did LM tell you that after 30 days they'll pay for your damages based on the police report? Where I used to work, we'd send out a field rep to knock on the insured's door for a statement if they weren't contacting us back. But we'd wait about 2 weeks to "give them time" to respond to letters.

With companies trying to cut expenses more than ever though, they may not be willing to send someone out to his house. But it can't hurt to ask them if they ever do send out field reps. Sorry you have to deal with all this. Seems little Johnny was raised with great morals.
