I too have removed and cleaned laptop keyboard..an old Toshiba ( Win95)..still works with 98 loaded..grandkids like to play on it....

How much?
Most keyboards have a plastic barrier between the keys and the contacts underneath.
Not sure where your spill is or how much....
Start with damp cloth...HOT water, wring out well, and start cleaning...or use Q-tips for smaller areas..Dry very well.....

Alcohol is your friend, after you've used any water. High percentage, 90%, not the 70% you might normally buy.

My laptop is doing things like clicking things all by it's self, the right menu appears (you could be across the room), bump it and it click in items on the desktop. When I try to type letters in word I get the shortcut menus instead. Strange stuff even happens when I have my laser mouse installed.

I was thinking touchpad controller?

Any ideas would be appreciated.
