The repeating keys is often a condition called chatter: https://deskthority.net/wiki/Chatter

If you have a spare keyboard, see if you can plug it into a USB port on your laptop and observe if it works OK.

If it does, there is often a fairly delicate ribbon cable that goes bad or is ever so slightly jostled lose. Or or can be just plain bad hardware.

But generally are replaceable. YouTube has guides or you can find a shop.

There is a small chance (IMO) reinstalling the keyboard driver will help.

Thanks I think I'll float check it. Happened for no apparent reason.
