Laptop Power supply

Anyone know of a place locally where I can pick up a new power supply for a Laptop? I guess mine is hosed. Computer does not recognize it and says I need a 130W or greater power supply.

It's for a Dell XPS Gen2 Laptop

Some of the specs off the Power Supply:

INPUT: 100-240V- 50-60HZ 2.5A

We have an account with Newark if they hassle you about needing one. I can change the connector to what you need as well.

Thanks folks. Damn! The last time I bought one for my 3 year old Inspiron it was like 50 bucks WTH?? Fotunately I do have my back up. I always keep 2. Now I just need a new back up. I have been invited to go over to SMARTCO tomorrow and might be able to pick one up. I have been thinking about volunteering anyway and that looks like like it might be right up my alley. If nothing else it will put me face to face with some other geeks and maybe I can get a bit of insght on a direction to take my scanner project.

Oh I am sure they'll make good use of me. I am one of those nuts that once I get into something I am into it it hardcore. I am sure they find plenty for me to get into.

yep, I was there about 6 years ago I guess. Was quite the site. I work on base and have helped palletize CPUs to send over.

Jeff, my power supply for my HP laptop went belly up a week ago. I got on Ebay and purchased one for about $25 including shipping from NJ. Received it last night and it works like a charm. Came with a 6 month warrenty also. Much cheaper than paying nearly $100.00 anywhere else!

So get on Ebay and check, can't beat the prices.

Jeff if the computer still has a warranty on it you might need to stick to Dell products or it could void your warranty should something go wrong with your new power supply. If it breaks your computer they won't fix it unless it's a genuine Dell part. Just thought I would check!
