...young Eli took?

Wicked shot.

That and the one their punter took.

It's almost like the Eagles don't like the Giants very much.

Yeah, that was Eli's "Welcome to the NFL, bonusboy". Can't remember a harder shot to a quarterback over the past few years. Its gonna be a long year for the Giants, sounds like there is a minor uprising already after Coughlin fined 4 or 5 guys for being late for meetings.

Please point out where we said Super Bowl.

I guess that's what happens when you enter advanced age; what happened in the last 10 - 12 years is just a fading, distant recollection.

Au contraire my little buddy...we REMEMBER well past the 12 year mark and thus the sweetness in this victory.

What was that tune my father used to hum about the Redskins? HMMMMM?

Was it "Heartbreak Hotel"?

Your dad is Elvis Presley?

 You personally may not have said it, but other Redskin nutjobs have; the euphoria about Gibbs coming back to coach, like it was the 2nd coming.

My dad - Presley? No, but I imagine otter knew him; he goes back that far doesn't he?

Well...

...I, for one, said Super Bowl.

The Bucs offense is a decent measuring stick. They don't have the super stars like McNabb and TO but they had what should have been a decent running game and a decent passing game lead by veterans.

And their D is certainly a good measuring stick. We probably should have had 23 points or so yesterday. Not great but not bad when your own d gives up almost nothing.

My BIGGEST (and only) concern is Gibbs. He looked exhausted yesterday. I don't know how a man his age can keep up the intensity all year long.

:yeahthat: I saw an interview after the last exhibition game and had the same thoughts.

:lmao: No I ain't no Democrat, and you know that!

But hey, Joyce Louise and I went up to Old Town/Alexandria yesterday for a few hours; All of King Street was blocked off for an art gallery exposition, lots of people from Florida displaying some interesting objects.

We went to Murphy's Tavern for a coctail - Kerry supporters everywhere, stickers on their shirts, etc., then we went to the Fish Market for oysters on the half shell, glass of white wine.

We walked up and down King Street for a while, and went over to 219St Restaraunt for a Cajun dinner - shrimp and crabmeat with bearnaise sauce, more white wine.

We really had a nice time - except for those nerds running around in Redskins regallia; replete with shirts, hats, moronic maroon pants; some had face paint on, and they were hopping up and down about the victory.

I didn't have the heart to tell 'em they were still losers! :lmao:

Schedule...

...obviously, next week is as close as you can get to a gimme in the NFL.

So, post Giants, we're 2-0.

Then, the Cowboys whose D was mauled by the Vikes and 40 year old Vinny.

3-0

Then, Browns, Ravens and Bears with the Browns being a much bigger question mark than us, Baltimore with no O and the Bears with nothing.

6-0

Finally, a proven team, the Packers.

6-1 and a renewed focus that we're not yet as good as we think we are.

Then the Lions to the slaughter to celebrate a GOP President (a must for a trip to the Super Bowl).

7-1

Bengals as the rookie Carson gets abused.

8-1

Then the Eagles in a classic.

8-2

Then mid season crisis with the Steelers.

8-3

Then child abuse against the 'ants

9-3

Another classic, this time us, over the Eagles to start the playoff home field drive.

10-3

A wipe out of the 9'ers

11-3

A Christmas present of a season sweep of D'ah boys.

12-3

And a Riggo esque pounding of the Vikes who can't get it going in DC in January to close the season

13-3 home field throughout.

Whack the Panthers in round one.

And pluck the birds of Philthy, again, like the Vikes no running game and the stars, Donovan and TO, can't get it going in the DC cold.

And in a typical Gibbs Super Bowl masterpiece, Tom Brady and the Pats are shell shocked.

Tsk, tsk, tsk MM. What good would it have done to rain on these poor Redskin revelers rantings and ravings?
Despite what Larry says, I think it's still gonna be a rough year for the Deadskins, er, I mean Redskins, or, was that the "Manila Folders"?

Whatever, the only way the 'skins will see the SuperBowl trophy is - if the parent company of their stadium inadvertently/mistakenly ships it to the wrong stadium! :killingme

Oh, I love ruffling Redskin Feathers!

Larry, I dare you to post

...you should mention it. As we've graduated another child, I've been permitted to build 'Guy World" in the basement.

Right next to the TV is my pile of guitar amps.

Any guesses as to what I was playing while watching the game???

Maybe you and Emmett (my cockatiel) could do a duet. He whistles Hail to the Redskins. We both whistled it yesterday during the game. :yay:

:killingme Oh yeah, Larry and the bird au pair??

Catt, you could dye the bird's wings gold, and the torso maroon, let him fly around Larry's "Guy Room" squawking up a storm, flipping Larry the "bird" every other pass.

:duh: :killingme  Vrai could take pictures and post 'em on the board, wirh the guitar player wearing cockatiel droppings on his frets!

I like that idea!

Anyone see the highlights of the Cowgirls game? They got hammered in a few tackles by Minnesota. I loved it.
