I grabbed two cheese steaks Saturday night. Only 2 tables occupied when I arrived. Ordered at 5:35. One with steak fries, one without. No drinks.

I was very conscience of time because I had to be somewhere at 6:30 and wanted to eat first. Food finally came out at 6:05.

I'm sorry but 30 minutes for two sandwiches is WAY too long to wait. To add insult to injury, the total was $18.00!!!! :faint:
I can go to Subway, Quiznos or any other sub shop and get a meal with a drink and chips for under $8.00 and be out in 10 minutes.

The order with fries was $9.00 and the order without was $8.00. $8.00 just for a freaking sandwich!?!?! :tantrum
Had I known that I would have got fries with both. AND the fries were only warm!! I figured after that wait, they would have just come from the fryer.

No wonder the place was empty during dinner rush on a Saturday night.

I will say the staff was very friendly and one lady even commented that it looked awkward me sitting there that long. The sandwich was good but the warm fries sucked.

Spoke with friends who have eaten there and they had the same complaint. Too slow & too expensive.

As much as I wish good on local businesses, I predict they will be gone within 6 months unless they speed up the service and adjust their prices.

Were they doing a lot of call in orders ahead of you? No way a cheese steak takes 30 minutes and I do know that for a fact.

I don't know what took place before I arrived. No one came in during the 30 minutes to pick up a carry out. She did take a couple calls for carry out while I was there.

The two tables that were there (a man with his young son & another couple) both got their food about 15 minutes after I arrived. No idea how long they were there before I go there.

As it stands now, I won't go back.

Ahem......

Hey Baja, we were the other couple. While I won't sit here and make excuses because I wasn't in the kitchen, I do know that Michael is usually the only cook and he makes everything from scratch. Please, go there and talk to him. He'll make it right. He sometimes reads this forum so he may comment. We actually didn't have that long of a wait.

There's really nothing to make right.

The sandwich was good just not $9.00 worth of good. I'd like to see them make it but they have to remember where they are located. People down here aren't going to spend that kind of money for a sub and fries nor will they wait 30 minutes for it at any price.

I would call ahead though if the price were less. I'd pay $7.00-$7.50 for the steak and fries.

Pft. Charlie's seems to make it and he charges more than 9 bux for a sandwich and fries (which is why I don't go there often even though it's close).

I agree that Charlie's can be expensive for regular patronage (for me anyway :nomoney: ) , at least his $9.00 price comes with the main sandwich, a side, and a drink.

It sounds like this place charged $9.00 just for the sandwich and extra for the side and drink.

I saw Laurel Grove Station All American Grill has a new facebook page. It says there is a new co owner and they are preparing to open. Didn't know it had closed.

They never seem to be open whenever I go, last time I called ahead for take out and when I showed up no one was to be found. I took a seat and waited about 10 minutes and started to get worried that I wasn't supposed to be there. As I was walking out the door someone came out of the back with my food.
