I am getting in to it because of Scouts. Was looking for a local place to buy leather dye, but got the info from a fellow scouter off line. Had to go to the shoe repair place at the mall in Waldorf. Gonna stamp, stain and paint some knife pouches for the boys that are crossing over into Boy Scouts.
Where can I get something to topcoat the leather once I am done stamping, staining and painting? What should I use? Using acrylic paints.
I have bought a bunch of alphabet stamps. 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 & 1" standard, 3/4 block, 1/2 and 3/4 log style. got them off eBay. Just looked closely at the 1/2" log stamps. It's mixed up. Didn't notice when received, but it's mostly log with 3-4 script and 2-3 standard stamps mixed in. I'm pissed. Now I have to find another set.
