Leonardtown is a Ghost town

IMO, it should embarrass the owner to have reservations show up to their closed restaurant.

this is why I never try restaurants unless they’re a chain. You go in a local business around here and it’s as if you’re inconveniencing them. “What are you doing here?! Can’t you see we’re in the middle of doing nothing.”

I am an enormous cheerleader for local businesses but they have to help me out. If they suck and treat their customers like nuisances, hell, you can get that at Walmart for cheaper.

I can't remember the last time I had a meal at a chain restaurant, unless you count fried chicken at the C-store, but fortunately there are umpteen restaurants to choose from and if one is less than inviting it's pretty easy to dump them and go somewhere else. And also fortunately there are local businesses who know how to treat their customers.

Now I feel better. I got 3 emails at 5:21 A.M. today from Open Table online reservation service asking me if I enjoyed my meal at Sweetbay when they were closed and didn't notify me last Saturday. They also want to know if I want to make another reservation.
