People panic when they see a cop car and immediately jam on the brakes even if they aren't speeding. End result is rubber-banding, tail-ending, and rubber-necking delays.

Introducing a police car will slow everything down. Better to let it flow as well as it can.

Pretty sure they wont, and even if they do, it will be an application that if practice bypasses the stated purpose of these things. The county will have to make new school zones to place them.

kwilla, how do you know that? I would think its more likely that the main cause is folks who are not paying attention, regardless of speed. that and idiots who pull out into traffic with no regard for right of way.

Don't know about the OP, but my post was total sarcasim.
