Ok. I have always shopped and even volunteered.. however, this time I am consigning, and I am curious as to pricing, and what is the best way to get your things sold!

Last I saw- they have 25 consigner spots still left.

Anyway- for those who want to know.

mmmmhmmmmm
The last 2 times I went to this there wasn't much to choose from. Don't know if they just don't have much or if all the people that are allowed to shop early are getting the things I would want.

Probably the people who get in before you. By the time I got in last time, there wasnt much left.

However, you can volunteer and get in early or consign and get in early. check out the website. It will show you.

Each time I volunteer enough hours to get to shop the first hour. The women are nuts! Everyone runs to toys and it's crazy. Mitzi give everyone save stickers and people make their own and ruin it for others. Needless to say I still do enough shopping to make it worth my time to volunteer and shop first.

I rarely if even have any consignment items left. I price things 1/4 or less from their original price. Remember in reality its a glorified garage sale - so I price accordingly and am always happy to have the cash to christmas shop.

Ohhhh I was first to shop last time, for the spring one. There was these 2 woman who were beyond rude - they ran to toys, and one blocked an area while the other one plastered all of her hold stickers on everything. Later when I was checking out, I noticed these two woman had most of the "good toys or rather bigger better toys" - there really should be a limit on hold stickers. But there were several women who had made their own and no one seemed to care. I think it isn't fair. One poor woman wanted one single toy for her kid - and I thought she was going to either break down and cry or haul off and punch the two women when they blocked her from obtaining the toy.

Sounds like somebody needed to hip-check the blocker into the next building.

This is great. I have been looking for a jogger stroller. Do you get any items like that?

2008 Fall/Winter Sale

October 9-11, 2008

Do you know how this works? I have truck loads (and I'm not kidding) of stuff I'm am getting rid of. I have three cribs with matching dressers, changing tables and everything thing else you can image for babies from preemie clothes up, bassinets, pack and plays, toys, high chairs. You name it, I have at least one. Seriously, I would need to make several trips, and no less than 5 in a regular truck. I don't want to move all the stuff only to have to move it into storage if it doesn't sell. I also don't want to totally give the stuff away. Do they sell it, or do I have to be there the entire time? Do they get a percentage of your stuff they sell?

I am having a yard sale next weekend, but I'm sure I won't be selling all of it and I'll still have oodles of stuff left. Some of it is still brand new never used. I'd appreciate any info you could send about other personal experiences.

Currently there are 8 consignment spot left. See the webpage for more info.

In a nutshell she takes next to new items that are in excellent shape, you tag and price them, per her instructions, she sells them and it's a 70/30 split.

Hope that helps.

Anyone can consign. Go to leprechaunlillys.com and check it out. They give you all the info there. You pay 6.00 to consign. That is a great price. Then you generate the tags from the website, to put on your merchandise, and you get a good amount back! All information is on the site. There is only 16 consigner spots avail as of last night- and they FILL UP QUICK! They only let 200 consigners in every sale! 2 sales a year. Fall and winter and spring summer. They are very strict about the clothes too, which is awesome, because you dont want to buy trash. No spring/summer clothes will be accepted at the fall/winter sale, and it has to be free of stains of any kind, and in good condition (no little balls of fabric, or peeling of lettering, etc) and it has to be less than 5 years old.

You also have the option to "DONATE" the items when the sale is over. That would aliveate the issue of storage. It is a matter also if you are willing to give than be stingey. Dont take that wrong- as I certainly am not saying your stuff isn't worth it- but me, as a person with my items, will be having my items placed under donate because I would rather have SOMEONE get use out of something that is needed, rather than bringing it back home.

It generally takes me a least a month to gather, sort and get my stuff ready to go. I go through all the kids stuff, pull out what can go to the sale and then sort through toys and then have my husband pull out stored items that can actually go this time around (pack n play, high chair). All in all it's worth my time and effort. Normally I need to do all my prep work when the kids are napping or gone to bed at night. I've never made less than $200. at the sale and I price items to sell.

We definitely need to go to this sale. I can't find anything like this on the Shore. We weren't able to make it this spring, but I'm going to try my hardest to make it this fall.

7 more consignment spots left. :yay:

Just to give you an idea of how popular this is, she opened registration and volunteering on Aug 10th - 1 week ago and she currently has 7 consignment spots left. I have no idea about the volunteering spots. I do know I'm signed up.

So there is one in the spring and one in the fall? Is this way summer clothes are not being accepted?

I have so many outfits with TAGS still on them. I can't take them back I have not clue where they came from there for I have no receipt.

There are 2 Sales a year. One in the Springtime for the Spring/Summer and one in the Fall for fall/winter.

Fall and Winter clothes ARE ONLY accepted for the fall/winter sale. (coats, jeans, sweats, warm jammies, cold weather clothing). Spring/Summer clothes (ie: shorts, tanks, bathing suits, hot weather items) are accepted at that sale.

You will surely make a sale if they have tags on them. I have some items that have tags on them- that I am selling because I am allergic to fleece.. and obviously my daughter cannot wear it if I am allergic.
