It actually plays the music and re-records it internally, plus it'll put the ID3 tags on automically. It'll do iTunes 2x the play speed and wma at 4x the play speed.

That was tedious, too - I have (had) over 200 files to convert.

What I'm doing is creating a playlist, then burning it to CD. Once it's burned, I export the songs as MP3s. So far, so good and it goes pretty quickly.
