The Israelis will blast a few abandoned houses, shoot a couple cars and then stop. Like I said before they have been pussified by the West. Other countries have started deciding Israels foreign policy. sure, they will rattle, and rock and roll a little but in the end they will stop well short of what they should do.

Really a damn shame. Keep the West happy and just absorb the terrorism or go wild and purge Israel of every last Palestinian thug and piss off the west.

Just imagine if we reacted like this when OUR soldiers were kidnapped, instead of trying diplomacy with Terrorists... Follow them and run them down with a herd of M1A1's!!

"Give us 1000 prisoners or your soldier dies!"

"Give us our soldier or we begin executing Hamas starting with its Prime Minister"

Hmmmmm... I think Israel has a leg up in this negotiaton.

And, of course, we have Western "rational" media talking about how it should have been a proportional response. Haven't they realized that proportional responses don't faze these people? Besides, I am sure that all of the leadership of Hamas know whats going on. They have learned to play the media. The Hamas PM acts like he is trying to free the soldier - you can't tell me someone they put as the lead of their party can't get the soldier freed if he didn't damn well want to. IMHO they want to make it look like they are trying to do something and Israel is just over reacting... when they probably knew about the kidnapping the whole time.

Hamas's War
The movement defended armed attacks and hostage-taking; now it's complaining that Israel is fighting back.

Israel is demolishing everything in it's path and there is one fatality?? Sounds odd.

:yeahthat: :ohwell:

I was watching a show on Discovery Times regarding the bombing of the an Iraqi nuclear facility by the Israelis during the years of Ronald Reagan. When RR was told of the incident he responded "Well boys will be boys". :jet: (I love that man, may he RIP. :bawl: ) That wouldn't happen with todays administration.

The world has become a really crappy place to live.

Reality check... there has been fighting in the Middle East for centuries. What makes it any more crappy now?

Maybe it would have been better when Stalin was killing millions. Maybe when Hitler was exterminating Jews in camps. Or, do you mean it might have been better when slaves were dieing by the thousands to build pyramids in the desert? Those plague times really rocked, too! Heck, being able to be murdered because you looked at your feudal lord the wrong way was much better than these crappy times!

The world is a phenomenally better place to be in today than it was in the past.

Israel Hits Palestinian PM's Gaza Office
Jul 01 7:00 PM US/Eastern

By IBRAHIM BARZAK
Associated Press Writer

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip

Israeli aircraft attacked the office of Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas in Gaza City early Sunday, witnesses said, setting the building on fire.

The Israeli army confirmed it attacked Haniyeh's office. There were no immediate reports of casualties.

Witnesses said two missiles hit the south side of the building at about 1:45 a.m. local time, setting it ablaze. Because of the late hour, the building was empty, they said.

"Place a warning shot across their bow!"

"Yes sir!"

Meanwhile, Hamas's armed wing, Izaddin al-Kassam, on Sunday threatened to attack infrastructure facilities inside Israel, including schools, hospitals and universities. The threat, the first of its kind since Hamas won the parliamentary election last January, was issued in response to continued Israeli military strikes in the Gaza Strip.

"If they continue with these attacks, we will strike at targets in Zionist territory that we have not struck until now," said the organization's spokesman.

Ut-oh. I wonder what sort of mental hurdles the liberal Western media will have to go through now to twist Hamas and the Palestinians back into victims of Israel.

Although - I don't think I have seen a better definition of escalation than this tread.

They might as well call this a war. I don't think Isreal is going to stop until they own the Gaza Strip again. Maybe that was why they pulled all of thier citizens out.

No. Israel was taking peace action under the plan until Hamas took a soldier hostage and made demands. The moving out of Gaza was part of the roadmap to recognition of the two states.

Fixin to be one state. That's what you get when you get rid of the official police and try to replace them with your own thugs.
