I disagree. :neener: Hybrid varieties now are bred for superior taste (like all the new sweet corn hybrids), production, disease resistance, etc. I'd rather plant hybrids. :shrug:

That's what they tell you.... that's not what my palate says... :lol: Corn? There was a variety we used to get on LI, yellow/white, small kernels, and it was just the sweetest, crispiest, best corn you could get:cds:. Didn't need anything but butter and a bit of salt. I have yet to find anything recent that can compete, even right out of the fields. I rarely buy corn now because I'm always disappointed.

Oh, and this has to be the first thing you and I have disagreed on!

We know, we know. EVERYTHING is better on LI. :rolleyes:

:lmao: You must not be finding good corn. Some of the corn around here is great on the grill with nothing on it!
