Levi jeans replacement...

I entered the blue jeans market, buying for myself, only about 8 years ago.

I've noticed the quality of Levi jeans diminish greatly. Which is too bad, because I like their fit. Now, within one year of light wear, my "new" jeans have worn holes in the knee portion.

After reading many reviews online.....literally NONE of the reviews were positive regarding Levi jeans quality. All of them stating that Levi's quality has fallen into the crapper due to outsourcing.

I despise shopping for clothing. I want a tough pair jeans to last me years so I don't need to step foot back in a clothing store during that period of time.

I am not necessarily looking for the most inexpensive pair of jeans, because I'm pretty sure that will put me in the same boat I in now.

So, do any of you have replacement recommendations for a 6'ish, 160ish lbs. male?

Thanks!

I always bought Old Navy or American Eagle jeans for the ex and he really liked them.

Wranglers regular fit are a good price and wear tough. It's what the cowboys and I wear. You can almost buy three of them to one of Levi's!

The giant like Carhartt jeans, and I admit I do too. :hot: He's taller than you and they make a good fit.

Actually the jeans are very durable and clean well as it seems I am always putting them in the washer. He uses them for riding bikes to working on stuff. I've never had to repair a button or hem cuffs. Which says a lot.

You will be looking at a higher price jean than Old Navy, but they hold up really well.

There is still one company still making jeans in the U.S. They make your jeans when you order them. You give you order following instructions for measuring.
The company is in Asheboro,N.C. and can be found at Authentic Texas Jeans Brand Denim Jeans 100% Made In The USA American Jeans.
I have been buying from them and am satisfied with the product.

Don't have any yet, but these will be the next jeans I buy.

Diamond Gusset Jeans are 100% made in the USA.
The quality denim in Diamond Gusset Jeans is made in Georgia. The leather patch comes from a small town in Tennessee, called Wartrace. The buttons and burrs are from Kentucky and Tennessee. And each pair is sewn together in Alabama. The original inventors and owners of Diamond Gusset Jeans are in Tennessee. (per gussetjeans.com and gussetclothing.com 4-3-06)

I can't find the reference now, but I did read where Carhartt is now not ONLY made in the US. Can't confirm either way.

Yeah, I found a similar reference about Carhartt, they do make things in the USA but also have other factories outside of this country and you might not always get something that was manufactured here.

Not all their products are anymore. I blame us women - it's blouses and accessories mostly that are priced out to other markets. Bib overalls, jackets and jeans are still made in the USA.

Dickies aren't bad, I have a tendency to get holes where the pockets are sewn on the butt and the dickies that I have had for over a year now dont have holes yet. They have them in Walmart btw.
