LG Refrigerators

Does anyone have an LG fridge? I'm eyeballing one they have on sale at Home Depot (one of those sexy french door, freezer on bottom types) but it's still really new so no reviews on it yet.

I've never had an LG appliance before, had several cell phones (all of which were fantastic) so just looking for general opinions on the brand and it's reliability for major appliances!

Thanks :smoochy:

 That is one of the saddest things I've found about finally owning my own home. The things I find wonderful now I would have seriously sneered at a year ago.

off the shelf
Was at Lowe's in California last night and saw quite a few fridges on sale on the back wall(scratch and dent isle)....there was a black one there with the freezer on the bottom that was marked down almost half price because it had a scratch on the lower left....which if it was placed next to a counter, would never been seen

oh....where ever you get one, don't forget your $50 electric company credit(you have to ask for it at the counter) for switching over to energy effiecient appliances

LG is pretty good. WHATEVER you do DO NOT I repeat DO NOT buy an electrolux fridge. Ours is less than a year old. been replace once, the icemaker replace 4 times and it STILL doesn't work.

They should stick to vacuums, 'cause THEY SUCK!

We have had an LG for approx 6 years similar to what you describe 2 doors on top, water and ice dispenser on left door freezer section down below. No problems in 6 years, one word of warning measure your old one and the space around it and measure the LG i did have to do some cabinet rearranging to get it it to fit correctly

Went ahead and bought it. Yeah, I measured quite a few times just to make sure it would fit! Have a couple inches to spare all around :yahoo: Had to get it from HH Gregg instead of Home Depot, but the cost came out to the same and I'm getting it delivered much earlier than Home Depot could have!

Lg

We have an LG which we really like, except...

The shelves' glass cannot be removed from the frames, so it's really hard to clean up spills, etc. if the liquid gets into them.

Other than that, we do like their fridge.

LG

NOW...the Blue Ray player they make is HORRIBLE!

Delivery this afternoon! I was very surprised they could get it delivered so quickly, and so far without a hitch. Last time I tried to have something major delivered to Lexington Park it was a nightmare and wound up getting rescheduled half a dozen times.

I think the two we have are Samsungs with the freezer on the bottom. It was a toss up between the LG and the Samsungs, as they both were the top rated refrigerators. I don't think you will go wrong purchasing either.

It's funny how we can almost have an orgasm over a refrigerator. :killingme
