If it's the same coach when I was in school, it was probably because they didn't win games.

LHS wasn't known for their football.:lmao:

If its the same guy as a few years back, he had a huge attitude problem

The person fired was supposed to be the new head coach this year (came from Chopticon). From what my son says, the reason was lame. The athletic director complained to the principal that the head coach cheated (??? don't understand this since the season hasn't even started yet) so the principal fired him.

So, they did not fired either of the existing coaches (Raley or Greer)?

From what I understand, no. I do not recall the name but my son said he came to Leonardtown from Chopticon to be head coach. The boys are really angry and upset about this.

OHHHHH! Now this makes sense. I had heard via the kid grapevine that there is something - I think plays - that kids are not supposed to be practicing before a certain date but that they were doing it anyway. If caught, the school could be removed from play for the year. Maybe that was it. I know I got another one of their recorded messages about tonights meeting just a little while ago and my kid doesn't even play Football.

If LHS got stuck with Mcgrath and he's the fired guy... They should Thank God he's gone. He stunk.

I heard he robbed the bank in Mechanicville and escaped on a 4 wheeler and then flew out using a jet pack while wearing a Big Bird costume.

lhs coach fired

Under maryland public school law, coachs can hold offseason conditioning but it has to be open to al the sports for that season (ie Fall). Apparently he was running plays with his guys at these training sessions. He was told to stop by the principal and the dir. of athletics for SMCPS and refused. Thet were left with no other choice but to fire him.
