Licensed Daycare Provider Needed

There are a ton of these threads in here. I know. But, I'm in need of a licensed provider for all 3 of mine. I am having a hard time finding any openings in the area. Two of mine are still considered infants and that's the problem. So, if anyone knows of any daycares (licensed only) that have spots for a 3 and 1/2 year old, 18 month old, and 12 week old, please PM me. Anywhere between Hollywood (lower Mechanicsville, maybe) and Lexington Park is fine. Thank you so much.

You might have to split them up. It would be harder on you, but that may be the reality of it. My provider has an opening (I believe) but she does not take infants and they must be in school.

Then, your provider is no good to me.

No, I realize that I may have to split them up. I'm actually hoping to have Boy in Creative Beginnings or something like that in a few months. He is on the waiting list for a few of them.

Mine has an opening for your older one, she is off of Chancellor's and she has had both of mine children since they were infants, I love her.

I have had no problem finding someone who can take the 3 year old. I'm looking for someone who can take either all 3 or atleast the 2 girls. Thanks.

Socki, have you searched the classifieds? Contact local schools - I'll bet they have references.
The school employees are forbidden to give such references...not that it always stops them, but

Try calling LOCATE at 301-290-0045

They gave me a crapload of local #'s. 9 out of 10 did not even have 1 infant opening. :ohwell:

This reads as she could accommodate children in the correct age range.

I emailed her.

I'm at work and cannot be making calls all day.

What time do you get off work usually? I have been looking for daycare as well and half of them say they close at 5pm. I thought that was a bit early to close dont most people work until 5

That sounds like a pretty normal closing time around here. Most people who work on base are probably done and gone by 4:30. And you have to remember that providers have families, too.

I get off at 5. Daycares around here seem to cater to the base employees. Most of them are off by 4. However, I am not one of those lucky people.

I would think with the people who commute to dc and other areas most would stay open at least until 5:30.

I know when my sis had a daycare she closed at 6 and if someone was running late, they made special arrangements moneywise at the end of the week.

There is a new place on 235, between the Walmart light and Chancellor's Run Road, heading south, on the right hand side of the road. It's where Century 21 used to be. They've got a sign up that they are enrolling children or something and I THOUGHT it said "infant to ????"

There are plenty of providers who stay open later just as there are plenty of providers who choose to close earlier. You just have to find one that meets your needs. I was extremely lucky when I found my lady. She was my first call ever down in St. Mary's.

Have you tried the child care resource center?

Yes. I posted that. They gave me a list of 10 numbers. 9 of which did not even have 1 infant opening. I just called back and asked for them to fax me over a longer list. The girl told me that she cannot fax it but mail it to me. WTF???

I just called a few of the ones that have place ads in here. I'm being quoted more than I make. WTF am I supposed to do? :tantrum
