Licensed Daycare Provider Needed

Have you tried the child care resource center?
That's the same as LOCATE.

Problem is the 2 infants...not likely to find someone with two openings at once unless they have twins turning 2 or are brand spanking new and haven't filled the spots yet...

A new provider might be an idea...no direct references, except for their friends, little experience, you'd have to interview them carefully. Try calling the licensing office at 301-475-3770. If there are providers who are too new to be in the LOCATE computer, they'll know about it.

I just called a few of the ones that have place ads in here. I'm being quoted more than I make. WTF am I supposed to do? :tantrum

Go back to Florida

I'm just teasin. Childcare isn't cheap for infants in this area. I was lucky when I was using daycare and not paying an arm and a leg.

Yes. I posted that. They gave me a list of 10 numbers. 9 of which did not even have 1 infant opening. I just called back and asked for them to fax me over a longer list. The girl told me that she cannot fax it but mail it to me. WTF???

I'm guessing you will be sorry you asked that rhetorical question...

I didn't read it all. Daycare is expensive especially with a lot of kids. That's why we work opposite shifts most of the time and then we had a babysitter for the other ones. Good Luck

There is a new place on 235, between the Walmart light and Chancellor's Run Road, heading south, on the right hand side of the road. It's where Century 21 used to be. They've got a sign up that they are enrolling children or something and I THOUGHT it said "infant to ????"

that place wants $250 a week for an infant! :faint:

I called CCRC about the place on 235. They have not registered with them yet so they do not have the contact info. I cannot write the number down as I pass through because I'm driving. :ohwell:

i know one of the women that will be in charge there. very nice and really cares for the kids. my daughter absolutely loved her, but the amount they are asking is WAY too high in my opinion, at least it is for our budget.

Who even knows when they are suppose to open? They have been saying coming soon for awhile now. And $250 a week is insane.

I am so very blessed
Well, except Bubba. He made me giggle yesterday. :huggy: He was so trying to act miserable in his little car seat and the froggy made him smile real big.
I would have sold him to anyone offering a five spot today, and then offered them a rebate on the deal.

Next time, PM me. I would have taken him for a few hours. He could have entertained us. We were bored today.

I am a licensed provider in Waldorf, MD with 12 year experience. I have openings for childsren 2 and over at the moment. I have a daycare aide that works with me, therefore I am approved to keep 4 infants, however at the moment, all infants spaces are filled. I am open from 7-5, but will negotiate the arrival time. I am licensed for evening care as well for parents with PM work schedules. For more information or to schedule and interview, please contact me directly. God Bless.

I know that feeling all to well. Thankfully she was really pleasant this past weekend and we had a lot of fun.
