Had I named exclusively Pete, then an apology would be in order. However, I was making an observation about this thread and many others. I understand my remark will make me a target, but that doesn't concern me. What concerns me is that some people here don't realize the significance of their comments that are directed at a culture that they don't understand. That to me is the "Good Ol Boy" mentality. Take it or leave it....

How was Pete's remark even directed toward another culture??? Pete was referring (as I read it) to the posters on that forum.....IMO it is ignorant of you to a.) assume all the posters are from a different culture than Pete, b.) assume that Pete meant his observation in a negative way.....

I barely knew who Lil Kim was before I began reading this thread. I don't think I've ever heard her music. Does she sing soul or hip-hop? I'd love to hear modern soul singers backed with melodic bass lines like (I'm showing my age here) Philly soul or Stax or Motown, instead of the subwoofer thud and mud.
