LINDA"S CAFE GOOD OR BAD

I've never been impressed with Linda's and never understood all the hype. She has a dingy little diner with unremarkable food. I just don't get it.

:yay: My favorite place for breakfast and lunch. Lots 'o food for not lots 'o money. Great home cooking! The only other place I know of like it "The Fryin Pan" in Lusby, which is pretty good as well if you can get over the greasy spoon atmosphere. I hope L-Town is a second location for Linda, I would hate to see her leave the park. Mighty handy for lunch for Pax workers.

The word I got a few weeks ago was that some developer was going to take over that section of LP and that Linda's would no longer be located in LP. If you still wanted to go to Linda's, you'd have to go to LT.

Years ago I left my wallet in a rental car in LA. I was looking at a weekend with no ATM card, no credit cards, and little cash.

Upon walking into Linda's, and prior to ordering, I asked Linda if she would take a personal check for my lunch tab since I was a regular. She did me one better. When she heard my tale of woe she offered to cash a personal check for $100 so I could have some walking around money for the weekend. Kindness like that is pretty rare these days.

That's all very nice but
it does not change the fact that
the food is crap and the service
is even worse !!!!!!!!!!!!

Whether or not you like Linda's depends of what kind of dining experience you want.

If you're partial to home cooking and tend to look for truck stops when on the road, you will like Linda's.

If you're more into artistically drizzled sauces and menus that include the words "ginger essence", then you're not going to like Linda's.

Been Linda's a couple times for breakfast.
Service was OK. Food wasn't much to brag about.

I will stick with driving the few extra miles to the Captains Table for breakfast.

Wow! I musta P'd someone off, because they gave me bad karma for my not so high marks for the new Linda's. Oh well :killingme

The first time I tried it was not that great, but I gave it a second try and it was nice. Good food at a good price.

I miss Nooks and Monks very much though

Yeah, Nook and Monks was a nice place to eat. In fact it was my favorite local place, due to a combination of the atmosphere, food and service.
