Upon walking into Linda's, and prior to ordering, I asked Linda if she would take a personal check for my lunch tab since I was a regular. She did me one better. When she heard my tale of woe she offered to cash a personal check for $100 so I could have some walking around money for the weekend. Kindness like that is pretty rare these days.
