I spent 7 minutes at Our Lady of the Wayside in Chaptico, 47 minutes at Chopticon HS, 23 at Hollywood FD, and 36 at Ridge. I hope those crowds die down before I go back out tonight...
:yeahthat: Way to go Steve, wisdom comes with age.

BTW, would Siamese twins get one or two votes?

The Internet, Allllagore be praised. I wonder which one has the passport in their name and why since they both have a SS#?

It's not like one of them is going to take a trip without the other. :lmao:

Yeah, but the one might not enjoy it as much as the other. Do they have to buy two tickets to a movie if only one of them wants to see the show? I mean their lives are so tied together that everything they do they do together as if only one person, except it seems to vote and draw SS benefits.

I know you are being funny but...
I saw an article on a set of siamese twins. They had the same arguments. One would want to do something and the other wouldn't. Their lives were a constant compromise.

As a matter of fact, I seem to remember about a year ago, a pair of 20-something siamese twins seeking to undergo seperation surgery. In part because they could never agree on anything. They even wanted to have different majors in college, but couldn't. The surgery was extremely risky when they were children because of certain shared arteries and/or organs, and even riskier as adults, but they put their faith in the new technologies and had the surgery because they hated the constant compromising on everything from jobs to living arrangements. They died.

I'm sure they've learned to make compromises. Hell, even when we want to see a movie, it doesn't mean it's always going to be a good one. And what would the "enjoyment" factor have to do with them going on a trip? Just because one, or both of them may not enjoy doesn't mean one can go without the other.

Took me all of 4 minutes.

Walked in gave them my name and ID, signed the card, voted and left. No lines, no mayhem, nothing...

The SO just reported it took less than 10 minutes. He said the campaign workers didn't even bother him going in. Guess he looked like a man on a mission.

I can't believe they invested so much money in computerized voting. I thought what they had before was pretty idiot proof.
Somebody built a better idiot.

if you will
The wife and I went about 4:15pm at McDonough HS in Pomfret. Our line (P-Z) was the only one with people (about 6 in front of us). We were done in 10 minutes, though it should have taken a lot less. Gee, I forget what number we were....

I'm just glad I didn't get one of those "inv_config_ep_m.exe has generated errors and will be closed by Windows. You will need to restart the program. An error log is being created" messages on the voting machine like I keep getting on my NMCI workstation. :nerd:

The trick to avoiding obnoxious campaign workers... park on the right hand side of the fence and walk up the sidewalk on that side, instead of up the middle. The entrance to the sidewalk is too close to the door for campaigning and there's no where over there for them to stand w/o getting run over.
