The Michigan State Police are cracking down on speeders heading into
Detroit

For the first offense, they give you two Detroit Lions tickets. If
you get stopped a second time, they make you use them.

Make fun of the hapless Lions all you want. But they've got an extra first round draft pick next year. They'll finally be able to draft that big name WR they've been needing and then the skies the limit.

Let's play a game. It's called "Find a Lion's win this season".

Washington
@ Chicago
Jacksonville
@ Carolina
Tampa Bay
Tennessee
Minnesota
@ Indianapolis
New Orleans
@ Green Bay

I wonder what odds you can get in Vegas on them going 0-16. I figure anything better than 4-1 is a smart bet.

I think that since the Lions began their franchise they have the worst record against the Redskins than any other team.

They have yet to win in Washington...ever.

Considering the skins are @ detriot.
The skins lost to the Rams
Campbell has only thrown 1 touch down pass in the last 3 games
And how inconsistant the skins can be

Im looking towards the lions.

I'll call your bluff and will counter with...

Detroit has yet to win a game. New QB. No defense. Shaky O-line.

The Skins lost to the Rams. That's now an advantage. No more over-looking. No more fluke 3 turnover mistakes.

Campbell is only the driving force when called upon. He delivers when he is called upon, to date. The driving force is Clinton Portis, the league leader in rushing. The Lions are one of the worst at stopping the run.

The Skins are 5-2. They're consistently winning.

...the Redskins coughed the ball up three times on solid drives that were likely field goals, if not TD's, AND gave up an easy 7 to a team that beat them at the buzzer. The Skins TOTALLY outplayed the Rams. Just one of them days.

I would say their best chance is @Chicago (divison rivals) or Jax or Tampa that come in expecting a win and just dont show up. However my money would be on 0-16.

...0-16 is as hard, if not harder, than 16-0.

Jim Rome did a hilarious bit about the Lions a few years back when talk of the 'perfect' season was en vogue, congratulating them each week, after each loss, for finding a way to stay focused on the prize and totally ripped them for their lack of commitment and determination when they finally won one late in the season, ruining the 'dream'!!!

Oh, believe me we give all NFL teams credit.

I think for me this is the first time this season that I have lambasted an NFL team. The Lions deserve credit where credit is due. These jokes actually came from a Lions message board and were subsequently posted on a Skins message board.

If the Lions can laugh, why not all NFL fans?

Besides the jokes, all I did was note what the Lions have done and have and what the Skins have done and have. If you think that's obnoxious then so be it. I can't help but to call it what it is. I'm not a fan of this football team to just sit on my hands. If they're doing well, I'll applause.
