We go to this place a few times per summer...right up Rt4 in Lothian. Nothing fancy, but very relaxing and kids have a great time, lots of activities. We love it there!!

Camped at Point Lookout this past May. Been going there
since the 60's. Nice hiking, biking and fishing. Bugs can be rough.
I always go during the week. Good web site for reservations.

Cedarville park has camping and i beleive has hookups. its near the dorf, but pretty nice considering. Otherwise there are plenty of places in western MD.
I think Gore in winchester is within your distance as well. they have a fishing lake, 4x4 trails, horse facilities, shooting range etc
Kinda depends on what you want to do while camping.
Md., Va. and W.Va. state parks offer a variety of options.
Deep Creek Lake and lake Anna are two of our favorites. I prefer Assateague in the fall. Pipe Stem is nice too but farther out of the zone.
