It wouldn’t cost $1900 to replace a gauge.

Working on the road for Otis I replaced hundreds of 8 & 14 pin IC sockets after other mechanics had violently released the smoke from the IC and took the socket along with it. Unpluged boards with voltage checks were important... lol
I still have my Masters UltraTorch with tips from pinpoint to hot air.

Bull crap. I did once. I tried to repair one of your junk boards with a Weller soldering gun. Nobody warned me about using a Weller gun on a circuit board. You leckys dont' design yr stuff to keep the smoke inside all the time. Not my fault.

Were you aware that Weller uses a varible voltage drive? Turn the blue trim pot all the way to counter clockwise.


Extra Credit question, did you at least hear the tops of the IC's when they bounced off the floor?
