Police are tracking the car stolen from the victim in last night's murder to Virginia and have looked in the Baltimore area as well, according to sources. The manager of the Lone Star Steakhouse in Lexington Park was found dead inside the restaurant with a gunshot to the back.
Autopsy will be conducted by the State Medical Examiner in Baltimore but police say it is clear that Lone Star manager was shot to death....police are taking steps to hunt down killer, withholding details at this time in the interest of finding this vicious killer...more details on stolen Toyota (or Scion) expected soon...Lone Star is closed due to being the scene of the murder...
Lt. Brian Cedar, commander of the Leonardtown Barracks of the State Police reports that investigators are looking for a new Toyota ( This vehicle may not be a Toyota but could possibly be a black Scion, according to a person who works at the restaurant. State Police spokesman Sgt. Rob Maroney is checking on the description ) with temporary tags which was stolen from the victim by the murderer, who police say they are not yet sure was either a man or a woman, but sources now say that the killer was a man. More information on the Toyota is expected soon.
Sgt. Delmar Smith of the Maryland State Police and head of the joint criminal investigation team of the St. Mary's Sheriff's Dept. and the State Police reports that the victim of the Lone Star Murder was found inside the steakhouse with no evidence of any break-in. Robbery as a motive is still under investigation...more details as they become available...
LEXINGTON PARK --- Maryland State Police Sgt. Constance Canfield reports that a female manager of the Lone Star called her family at 11:30 pm last night to tell them she was on her way home from work. She never arrived and police were sent to look for her and found her body at 5:30 am today, March 31st, inside the Lone Star Steakhouse located on Rt. 235 in Lexington Park. A former employee is suspected, more details as they become available...
