Love To Love You Baby

Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby

In a spin, in-uh

Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby

Lay your head down real close to me
Soothe my mind and set me free
Set me free-ee, uh

Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby
Aaaah, I love to love you, baby

When you're laying so close to me

I'll Stand By You

Oh, why you look so sad? Tears are in your eyes
Come on and come to me now.
Don't be ashamed to cry, let me see you through
Cause I've seen the dark side too.
When the night falls on you, you don't know what to do,
Nothing you confess could make me love you less
I'll stand by you, I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you,
I'll stand by you.

So, if you're mad get mad, don't hold it all inside,
Come on and talk to me now.
And hey, what you got to hide? I get angry too
But I'm alot like you.
When you're standing at the crossroads, don't know which path to choose,
Let me come along, cause even if your wrong
I'll stand by you, I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you,
I'll stand by you.
Take me into your darkest hour, and I'll never desert you.
I'll stand by you.

And when, when the night falls on you baby, you're feeling all alone,
You won't be on your own, I'll stand by you. I'll stand by you
I'll stand by you, won't let nobody hurt you. I'll stand by you
Take me in into your darkest hour and I'll never desert you
I'll stand by you

This ain't no place for losers
Or the innocent of mind
It's a full time job
For anyone, to stay alive
The streets have shallow boundaries
For the war that's everyone
What a wasteland for
Broken dreams and hired guns
Shelter me, baby shelter me
When I'm sitting like I'm losing ground
Shelter me
I've gone to sleep
But when I open
The other goes my tears
In the darkness
I can I can hide my heart
But non of my fears
In the morning
Like a soldier
I look closed up battleground
Another day
Another part of me
And the world goes round
Shelter me
Won't you shelter me
When I'm sitting like I'm losing ground
Shelter me
Won't you shelter me
Oh, shelter me
When I lose control
Of my own home
Shelter me
Everytime time I tumble down
I want to pack it up and leave this town
But when I finally get the nerve
Get cleared out of the shoes
I'm thanking you
I'm thanking you
Baby shelter me
Please shelter me
When I'm sitting down, and losing ground
Shelter me
Won't you shelter me
When I lose control
Am I alone
Shelter me
Won't you shelter me
Oh, shelter me
Baby please
Oh, shelter me
Stay back and shelter me
Come on and shelter me
When I lose control
Am I alone
Shelter me

Oh yeah...she was very sexy! :yay:
She is STILL very sexy. :yay:

I need to get my tipsy and tired arse to bed, so I'll leave you with this little ditty from Whitesnake:

I don’t know where I’m going
But, I sure know where I’ve been
Hanging on the promises
In songs of yesterday
An’ I’ve made up my mind,
I ain’t wasting no more time
But, here I go again
Here I go again

Tho’ I keep searching for an answer,
I never seem to find what I’m looking for
Oh lord, I pray
You give me strength to carry on,
’cos I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An’ here I go again on my own
Goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An’ I’ve made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time

I’m just another heart in need of rescue,
Waiting on love’s sweet charity
An’ I’m gonna hold on
For the rest of my days,
’cos I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An’ here I go again on my own
Goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An’ I’ve made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time

But, here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go...

An’ I’ve made up my mind,
I ain’t wasting no more time

An’ here I go again on my own
Goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
’cos I know what it means
To walk along the lonely street of dreams

An’ here I go again on my own
Goin’ down the only road I’ve ever known,
Like a hobo I was born to walk alone
An’ I’ve made up my mind
I ain’t wasting no more time...

But, here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go again,
Here I go,
Here I go again...

Actually, it wasn't. Incredible and vivid dreams woke me up several times. Very strange indeed.

Bob Seger tune for my ride in this morning...

On a long and lonesome highway
East of Omaha
You can listen to the engine
moanin' out its one-note song
You can think about the woman
or the girl you knew the night before
But your thoughts will soon be wandering
the way they always do
When you're ridin' sixteen hours
and there's nothin' much to do
And you don't feel much like ridin',
you just wish the trip was through

So here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
And here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page

Well you walk into a restaurant,
strung out from the road
And you feel the eyes upon you
as you're shakin' off the cold
You pretend it doesn't bother you
but you just want to explode.

Most times you can't hear 'em talk,
other times you can
Always it's the same old thing,
"Is that a woman or a man?"
And you always seem outnumbered,
you don't dare make a stand

So here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
And here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page

Out there in the spotlight
you're a million miles away
Every ounce of energy
you try to give away
As the sweat pours out your body
like the music that you play
Later in the evening
as you lie awake in bed
With the echoes from the amplifiers
ringin' in your head
You smoke the day's last cigarette,
rememberin' what she said

So here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
And here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
Turn the page

Yeah here I am
On the road again
There I am
Up on the stage
Here I go
Playin' star again
There I go
There I go

Very true...

Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line
Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line

Well now me and old elmer waterfield
Used to sit beneath the pines
Arguing whose car was faster
Was it his or was it mine
Then hear and tell the story
You’d swear that it was true
His old ford and one plymouth of me
Went a hundred and twenty-two

Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line
Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line

Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line
Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line

If you want to spread a rumor
Or a gossip, please feel free
Just ask old lonzo cooper
He’s better than nbc

Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line
Down in the country, amongst the pines
Norfolk, virginia, near the north carolina line

cattitude

My Sweetest Boy
Don't go changing, to try and please me
You never let me down before
Don't imagine you're too familiar
And I don't see you anymore

I wouldn't leave you in times of trouble
We never could have come this far
I took the good times, I'll take the bad times
I'll take you just the way you are

Don't go trying some new fashion
Don't change the color of your hair
You always have my unspoken passion
Although I might not seem to care

I don't want clever conversation
I never want to work that hard
I just want someone that I can talk to
I want you just the way you are.

I need to know that you will always be
The same old someone that I knew
What will it take till you believe in me
The way that I believe in you.

I said I love you and that's forever
And this I promise from the heart
I could not love you any better
I love you just the way you are.

At least he has a good day for travel... but it's a long trip... I've driven it before...:blah:
I've driven it many, many times and always enjoyed it. It's a nice trip if you take 17 and cut over to I-64 via 33, which avoids the traffic around Yorktown. Also try to time your travel through Hampton Roads. I-64 is a mother around rush hour.

And even if you avoid rush hour, you can get still stuck from disabled vehicles and accidents. I got caught on I-64W for over two hours once when a tractor-trailer decided to go over a guardrail to the road below and in the process spill its hazardous cargo. :yikes:

They wound up BACKING everybody up and turning around to the last exit. I was in the front of the pack, so I was LAST to go. :banghead:

BadGirl

I am so very blessed
I left my home in norfolk virginia
California on my mind
I straddled that greyhound
And rode into raleigh
And on across caroline

We had motor trouble that turn into a struggle
Halfway across alabam
And that hound broke down and left us all stranded
In downtown birmingham

Right away I brought me a through train ticket
Ridin across mississippi clean
And I was on that midnight flyer out of birmingham
Smoking into new orleans

Somebody help me get out of louisiana
Just to help me get to houston town
There are people there who care a little about me
And they won't let the poor boy down

Sure as you're born brought me a silk suit
Put luggage in my hand
And I woke up high over alburquerque
On a jet to the promised land

Working on a t-bone steak a la carte
Flying over to the golden state
Ah when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes
He would set us at the terminal gate

Swing low chariot come down easy
Taxi to the terminal zone
Cut your engines and cool your wings
And let me make it to the telephone

Los angeles give me norfolk virginia
Tidewater four ten o nine
Tell the folks back home this is the promised land calling
And the poor boy is on the line

Working on a t-bone steak a la carte
Flying over to the golden state
Ah when the pilot told us in thirteen minutes
He would set us at the terminal gate

Swing low chariot come down easy
Taxi to the terminal zone
Cut your engines and cool your wings

You know... the route to Norfolk is very similar to the one I had to take to get to Cherry Point, NC... I spent two-weeks at the Marine base providing training for one of the systems they were using.

Of all my travels due to work, that was the most interesting... I can't find any Cherry Point songs...:frown:
I wish I could provide some training to some cute young Marines. The boys down at Cherry Point are SCHWEET! :yum:

There's a jazz tune called "Cherry Point" but it doesn't have any lyrics. This is as close as you're going to get I think:

Marines' hymn [lyrics]
Verse
From the halls of Montezuma
To the shores of Tripoli,
We fight our country's battles
On the land as on the sea.
First to fight for right and freedom
And to keep our honor clean,
We are proud to claim the title
Of United States Marine!
Verse
Our flag's unfurled to every breeze
From dawn to setting sun.
We have fought in every clime and place
Where we could take a gun.
In the snow of far off Northern lands
And in sunny Tropic scenes
You will find us always on the job -
The United States Marines.
Verse
Here's health to you and our Corps
Which we are proud to serve.
In many a strife we've fought for life
And never lost our nerve.
If the Army and the Navy
Ever look on Heaven's scenes
They will find the streets are guarded
By United States Marines.
