My mom actually does taxes, although she does them for Jackson Hewitt. I know you said you weren't looking for a chain, but you can ask for her directly and I can guarentee she'd give you the personal attention and advice of any other non chain tax preparer.

I gotta tell you, I went to the H&R block in Leonardtown this year expecting to pay Maryland taxes yet again this year, but to my surprise they found somethings that the other H&R didnt do and to say the least im a happy camper. Ask for Christine, I'd recommend her to anyone that has faced the same issues in the past as I did.
