Wife and I are racking our brains to remember what the original restaurant was at the Red, Hot, and Blue in Waldorf. This was the late 90's just before they changed to RH&B.

Anyone remember???? Thanks!

Maybe at one point, but I am talking just before RH&B took over. I was thinking it was built just for this restaurant and then RH&B took over. Pretty sure it was also a BBQ joint too. I remember having their wings in the late 90s.

It wasn't Po Folks (I know that for sure cause I worked there), it was Sizzlers (husband and my first date was there). It was Rustic River before it was Red, Hot and Blue.

It was Mr. Ron's. Was my favorite restaurant, even until this day!!! Their butter rolls served in the skillet were the best!

I was thinking Red River or Red Rapids. Can't find any info about Rustic River.

OK, Winner, Winner, Chicken dinner. I found one reference to RED RIVER BARBEQUE & GRILLE at the same address as RH&B (Way down on page https://www.city-data.com/zips/20601.html) Then I found an article about them moving to Waldorf in 98. (https://www.bizjournals.com/pittsburgh/stories/1998/08/10/weekinbiz.html)

Glad we found the answer!!!! Thanks.

Now where was sizzler? Same place prior?
Phew, glad that's solved😂
Yes, Sizzler was the same location before Red River.

Before Po Folks, is that where the Denny's was? My Mom and I would go there for lunch on my days off. This would be late 80s, real early 90s.

I think Denny's is still in the same place it's always been. I'm not sure what, if anything was in the PO Folks building before it was built.
Wasn't it also Bruegger's Bagel Bakery at one time?
There was a bagel place next doorish to Sizzlers, and later there was one on the other side of 301 (Chesapeake Bagels?).
