what's wrong with giving a puppy as a christmas present if that's what the wife wants?huntr1 said:On animals as Christmas presents. Kinda like giving baby bunnies and chickies at Easter.
Whats wrong with that? Going with your reasoning, I can see it being bad to give a baby as a present for christmas, but a dog?huntr1 said:On animals as Christmas presents. Kinda like giving baby bunnies and chickies at Easter.
We got the kids a new puppy....they don't know it yet. (I know Appy boy wanted a labbie, but he's going away to school or the military in 2 years so he couldn't take it with him, and we wanted something smaller)huntr1 said:Reading comprehension is NOT my friend today. Still feel like crap from being sick yesterday. is NOT FUN! Anyway, I missed that it was for his WIFE. No problem with giving animals to adults, just to kids.

WE wanted to add something smaller to our family, and Rottncop and I, after a long discussion, and several breed considerations decided what breed we would add. We found an adorable little Jack Russell boy who is just as laid back and loveable as they come. His sister on the other hand is full of pizz-N-vinegar, thank goodness she wasn't the ONLY one left to choose from - she would have stayed . After she had bullied her brother, mother, me and her breeder, she ran out, caught herself a mouse and brought it back in, as a mid afternoon snack, all in a span of about 15 minutes! NOT the puppy for us...but one he!! of a mouser
I'm not sure how to present the puppy, any suggestions? We pick him up Christmas eve night.

I would get up early before the kids and let the puppy in the room and let him lick their little face until they wake up...happyappygirl said:I thought about wrapping some puppy stuff, and a note on each gift leading to a different local...eventually leading out into the barn, where he'll be under the heat lamp in an ex-pen?
