I am a married man that lost his job in october of 2007. facility engineer and jack of all trades please if anyone knows of any jobs out there let me know, I am getting desperate and bills are starting to back up.

Hang in there, man. I understand your "frustrations" in job hunting. :huggy:

Something good will come along before you know it. Just keep looking and trying.

I have been unemployed for 6 years after I lost my job and finally found a good decent job 6 years later. Now, I'm no longer working due to daycare expenses. I choose to be Stay at Home Mom to save some $$$ from daycare expenses. However, I would like to go back to work soon though as long the job pay well enough to be able to pay the bills and daycare expenses.

What's a facility engineer?

A fancy title for a light bulb changer.

Facility/Building Engineers are primarily phone jockeys. Anything greater than piddly maintenance stuff like- (squeaky hinges, loose door handle, clogged toilet, ect) they call the corresponding trade for whatever issue the facility/building has to get it fixed.

Hasn't worked since October 07.. That alone says a lot..

Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission Home Page, there is a position open for a facility engineer I think, if not there are other positions to apply for. Good Luck I have been laid off/lost my job before, and it sucks.

For what it's worth, I think the USPS is hiring. If you go to the PO in Bushwood and speak to the postmaster, she may be able to get you in.
Good luck , friend, been where you are at and I hope you will find a job quickly.

Well not everyone is as lucky as you. a few years ago, 26 weeks of not working, yeah, would have been no excuse, but sorry, pay attention to the real world and not your investments:bigwhoop:, it is hard to find a good paying job that can pay the bills these days. Sure McDonalds and the like are hiring, but can McDonalds pay the bills, or at least the gas to get back and forth? Get off your soap box and get with what most would call reality.

He will get his slap in the face when the stock market really crashes, its all smoke and mirrors right now, the money they keep pumping into it is empty. Then the idiot with his infiniti will be living in it and having his house forclosed.
