Lost Cat CRE

I know this is a long shot BUT I want to try anyway. My oldest cat ran off I think. The last time we saw her was mid week last week. She's 12, over weight, declawed in the front, tabby stripped with white on her paws and a white flashing on her chest. She's always been an indoor only cat and only recently (in the past month) been allowed outside. We let her out either Wed or Thurs of last week and haven't seen her since. I'll have to upload a pic from home.

Called Tri County who says they have nothing matching her description.

Have you posted signs? Have any of your neighbors seen her at all? Maybe run an add in the local paper? What about borrowing a trap from Tri-County to see if she comes around at night??? Just some thoughts....

After all these years of being inside, what prompted you to let her go outside now? I do have a large have-a-heart trap you can borrow if you need to. Let me know.

She came home last night. Thanks for the offer. I started letting her out because she decided my house was a fine litter box. She's always been vindictive but kept it to peeing on dirty laundry when she was mad at me. Within the past several months she tagged my couch several times, my pillow, brand new cushion on my wicker chair, amoungst other things. I have two young kids and don't like to live in filth so it was outside or the only other alternative which I really didn't want to have to do.

Have I EVER claimed to be sensitive?

And letting a 12 year old, declawed, indoor cat to suddenly start being an outdoor cat is sensitive to the safety and wellbeing of said cat?

How about the wellbeing of my children. Can't be too sanitary to have a cat pissing everywhere. Some people like to live in a clean house that doesn't smell like cat piss.

Think someone could've stole it?

Under the circumstances I don't find that the least bit ammusing. I hope none of your pets get lost or die or anything. :huggy:

She came home last night.
Glad you got your cat back.

FYI, there ARE coyote in Calvert, so you may want to keep an eye on your cat. Can you bring it in at night (that's when they're most active) or will it mark then too?

Did you by chance change litter brand, food or anything like that? Our black cat didn't like 1 type of litter and would pee outside of the litter box until we went back to the other litter.

It's not the litter, it's her attitude. She doesn't do it all the time.

While I'm sure there is plenty of wildlife that I don't want any of them to have to contend with I doubt there are many in CRE since it's so heavily populated. We do let her in and out and she typically stays on one of the porches. Last night she came running up from the vacant house across the street so I assume she's been hanging out around there because there's less action over there and it's quiet.
