Lost Cat In Great Mills/Lex Park Area

*LOL at whoever left me the green karma reading 'get him microchipped ASAP* I plan on doing that with both cats (I have a kitten, Apollo that somehow managed to not escape the same night Rocky made a break for it) Any suggestions for a quality vet in my area would be greatly appreciated, especially since I'm going to have to get Apollo snip-snipped here soon.

You should set out a hav-a-hart trap. They are relatively inexpensive. My cat escaped the night I moved into my house....I thought he'd be gone forever. He was lost for 5 weeks. I put out a trap, and caught him 4 days later.

I have traps..nice, big coyote size..cats like them as they dont realize they are in a trap..
Just that they are eating some god food.
If you do trap...I suggest using either sardines or Kentucky Fried Chicken...
When trapping ferals, they LOVE KFC!!!
Good luck!!!

I'm so sorry to hear it. I lost my cat taking it to the vet and after 2 weeks I found it using humane Have-A-Heart traps. Put stinky "canned Mackeral" in a dish to attract him in and bingo!

Place the trap where you LAST SAW the cat, not where you think he might be. These cats do not follow our logic, trust me. He is scared he will not move. If it is a wide open space, place the trap on the nearest edge of the woods: the closest place he could have gotten cover. Check it 2X a day and pray!

Put up flyers with a big picture, the date and location he went mission with your phone number. Send one to Tri-County, Animal Control and the Highway Administration (sad but at least you'll know).

I just came from the Tri-County shelter, I put up a flyer on their bulletin board. I also did an ad here on SOMD.com. :huggy: Here's hoping for the best!

keep on it, and give it time. He might just hunker down for a few days, but when he's incredibly hungry he'll come looking for food. Definitely do the cat trapping!!

When you're done with the trap, you'll likely not need it again, so donate to the local Animal shelter like SMAWL.

I'm rooting for yoU!!
