We looked at the one at Pet Co. It isn't him. Thank you for letting us know they had a gray cat though.

8apples -- this grey kitty is in the same vicinity as the one you were trying to look at behind the building on G.M. Road. -- I'm sure he's the same one. Witchie seems to be collecting all the strays lately. :howdy:Witchie -- I will bring you kitty food this afternoon after work. :howdy:

To my karma giver....I'm not sure how there could be a birthdate...maybe they have to plug a guess date in a form or something. It doesn't hurt to check.

I just called Tri County. This was was picked up in Mechanicsville as a stray. They just put in a guess of how old he is. The girl said to contact them ASAP regarding this cat. I'm assuming he doesn't have much time left.

 I was just thinking about how they got the birthdate. Why would they put up a fake one? They could just say "he's X years old."

I called them today it is not him. Mine is microchipped and that one is not. He was placed there by his family. Thank you for posting the info though. It does look just like him.

8apples, do you think your kitty might be hanging around the area? Reason I ask is, I just moved here in June, and a week later, my cat Conan slipped out of the house. I thought he was lost forever until I saw him a couple weeks later hanging around the back yard. His silly butt was too scared to come back in. I guess being outside, his feral instincts kicked in. I tried to catch him, to no avail, but I kept food and water out there for him.
I finally ordered a safe and humane cat/coon trap off of eBay. The first night, I caught a possum who was none to pleased about the situation. I swear, I thought a skunk would be next, but lo and behold, four mornings later, my Conan was in there! He is back in the house safe and sound!
Now, I heard that the local animal shelters or animal services folks will loan out a trap, but I had no luck in Calvert County. St. Mary's might be different.
Are you in a situation where this might work?

I hope you find him soon!
