Lost/stolen Puppy

Hey Everyone, My sister got a 3 month old puppy about a month ago and last night it came up missing. Her husband put all 3 dogs outside to do their business - turned away to grab his jacket and the puppy did not come back in with the other two dogs like she always does. She is kinda big - a mix of lab and who knows what else - brown and very friendly. Lives on Poplar Ridge Road off of Hermanville. Her name is Cocoa. Please let me know if anybody has seen her. My sister has notified the vets and animal shelter and put an ad up on SOMD already. Thanks.

I seem to be confused a little...

Where is Poplar Ridge Road on Hermanville?

and i'm confused about how a dog the size of a lab (even 4 months old isn't tiny...and if it was...it couldn't go fast lol) could get away if you just "turned to get your jacket"?

wouldn't you at least see it running away?

You would think so. And with two other dogs wouldn't you have some sort of fence up?

My little dog escape sometimes and we have a fence. Him and the neighbor dog like to dig, so there are times when he has managed to crawl to the other side.
This is true. But how long does it take to get a jacket? And why wouldn't you have put one on before you took the dogs out?

My jackets are upstairs in my closet. That means I would let my dogs out the back door, run upstairs and into the bedroom, then the closet, grab a jacket, down the steps then back outside.

And maybe he didn't know how chilly it was until after he let the dogs out.

And maybe, he really just opened the back door, let them out, came back 15-20mins later, and realized the puppy was gone.

You have to be so careful right now..it is hunting season. They may chase deer, the deer are running. And some hunters will just shoot at the sound of something running in the woods. I never let my dog lose, a lone this time of year.

Yep.. Them hunters are a wild bunch. Just shooting in the general direction of a noise. Amazing more humans, horses and dogs aren't shot every year.

Iam not down on hunting, my husband likes to deer hunt ( only on our property ) But if he can not get a good shot ( see the deer/close enought/right angle..etc) he will not shoot it.

Yep, just maybe. Regardless of what happened, let's hope the pup is found safe.

Thanks. Their concern is that somebody broke into their trailer a few weeks back and they believe that was a grudge thing because of one of their kids. Their trailer sits way back off the road with lots of wooded area around - not really easy to fence in. They stand on the porch and wait on the dogs generally and the dogs come right back in because they know they get a dog treat.
