What's being done between that yellow house and the car wash... on 235 close to Hermanville Road...
That's so 2020....I'm pretty sure I remember reading it's something that we've never seen before--I believe they call it a Dollar Store... (WINK)
I have never been in one of the $ stores.Plan approved for Lexington Park Dollar General
The St. Mary’s County Planning Commission approved a concept site plan for a Dollar General in Lexington Park at a meeting on Monday, after recently approving another concept site planwww.somdnews.com
Told you so... (WINK)
It's basically a cheap convince store with some name brand and some generic stuff. In other states the Dollar General even sells beer and wineI have never been in one of the $ stores.
What the hell is in them, to create such a big boom?
Trash for the most part, tho I do buy disposable aluminum pans there to use as drip pans when I grill..lot cheaper than a Walmart or grocery store.I have never been in one of the $ stores.

I buy plain clay cat litter there for soaking up oil real cheap.Trash for the most part, tho I do buy disposable aluminum pans there to use as drip pans when I grill..lot cheaper than a Walmart or grocery store.
Their white bread is the best @ $1.25 per loaf!Dollar General is good for stretching a budget. As Grumpy said, aluminum pans don't always need to be sturdy enough to hold a gobbler. Some of their Dolgen brand stuff is as good as most generic brands and there's no middleman markup. I believe they buy from the processers/canners and slap their label on it. They may own them, for all I know. I like their no bean chili on hotdogs better than Hormel.
Most of what they sell is shitty food items such as chips, cheetos, soda, cookies etc that is made right here in the US. I'll hit it up at lunch time for some cheap diet pepsi since its right out of gate 3 that the gas station next door would charge 3x as much for.Wonderful! Another place people can go spend money on Chinese-made goods while complaining about Chinese-made goods and how we need to bring manufacturing back to the U.S.!
I used to get an Italian bread (Schmitt's?) there and it was cheaper than in Food Lion. I believe the sell by date was closer, but it doesn't really matter if you're going to use it for toast or grilled cheese.Their white bread is the best @ $1.25 per loaf!

Funny story... I told my Sistard to get the cheap aluminum pan with the handles for the Thanksgiving turkey one year. She replied, why not just put the pan on a large cookie sheet.
