Wow... the connection to this link has since been deleted but it looks like she was to be married on May 1st... just two days before her passing.

And according to the MD court case website the state of MD was to bring Steven Vandevander to trial because he violated an exparte and was charged with assault 1/31/2012.

I think the wording automatically switches to "were" once the date passes. I've seen announcements of people I know didn't end up getting married and it says they were. That doesn't really make sense but hopefully someone can figure out what the heck I'm talking about. :lol:

Its a SOMD.COM announcement so maybe Vrai can tell us if announcements are auto changed based on date... is that what you were trying to say?

I've known a few people to have announcements on here and after they're married you can still see the listings, though past-tense.

I didn't know that they accept cats as sheriff's deputies in St. Mary's now..who knew!

Edit: I do not wish disrespect to the family that lost Lydia. It is very tragic. What is tragic to this forum is that some members choose words that are ridiculous. And. don't even try to tell me that I am being politcally correct...I have already been labeled that. It is called "your mama tried to raise you right". There is a button to delete a post, if you feel it might be appropriate to do so. I use it.
