Will I be able to sell it in a few years for a profit?Speedy70 said:Consider it an investment.

Then it's not an investment.Speedy70 said:Not sure about the profit, but you can get a good price for it. I ended up giving my Dell away.

Do you still use betamax?Speedy70 said:It is when it lasts a long time and you can do so much more on it right out of the box. Plus, it's user friendly.

To me, investment means money, not time. I've had my Vaio laptop for going on 4 years, and it hasn't given me any problems. And it cost a lot less than a Mac. That's not to say I'll never get one...when I start working again I'd like to upgrade.Speedy70 said:It is when it lasts a long time and you can do so much more on it right out of the box. I don't want to sell it, I want to use it until the wheels fall off, so to speak.Speedy70 said:Let me know how much you could sell your Vaio laptop for.

I picture you looking like the mac dude.Speedy70 said:Nope. I'm up to date on all modern technology. But thanks for asking.
BTW, I picture you looking like the pc guy in the "I'm a Mac, I'm a PC" commercials.
alex said:Yeah but if you buy the new Intel chip laptops and use VM Fusion software you can run Windows and Apple OSs at the same time. I love my new mac (2nd one i've had). And VM Fusion software is free. Much better than Apple's Boot Camp because you don't have to reboot the system to switch operating systems.
Saves a whole lot of time when I need to use those Window's only programs.

Or if you are enrolled in any college or work for an education institution you can get it for $69:

They offer similar discounts on all of their products...not just OS's.
But if I were you I would hold out for 10.5 in October.
