For now. Let's see how the OHP findings come out and then see if they will be in the same frame of mind.

We know damn well what he was doing; looking at his laptop.

:buddies:

Could be, but we have to wait to see what the fallout is. We have had several situations like that here in my neck of the woods recently. Are the officers overloaded with required technology in order to do their jobs?

As forgiving as they may be, I'm sure some kind of monetary settlement is in their future.

Whenever I criticize the cops, I ALWAYS do it in context of what we, the people, are demanding of them. We want warrior cops, we got 'em.

As for this incident, if he is required to read his laptop going down the highway, man, I'm just not thinking that's right.

PS, I say this in context of one of the youtube copies of this incident floating around showing he clearly wasn't watching for more than just a glance or two and it sure looks like he was moving right along and, as a rider, I doubt they were going significantly lower than the posted speed limit, if at all, as well as being in the slow lane with an empty fast lane.

Video showed a half helmet in the road so they were probably riding a Harley

It was, to me, clearly a Harley though I'm not sure that was the cause of the accident. It appeared to be running.
