CD'A had a nice run of almost 20 years. I think 2 decades of being in the kitchen and on your feet all day takes it's toll on your body. But I liked their concept. Husband and wife combo. 1 in the front and 1 in the back. He never tried to get too big even though he did expand when the health food store relocated.

And it wasn't his first gig, he had the chops. It was a shame to lose a place like that.

I still miss them, but I think Sweetbay is a good addition.

I kid you not, I waited an hour and 40 minutes for a salmon salad (called it in, she said they were extremely busy, and it would be a 45 min wait, I said no problem, i'm running errands. got there and still waited an hour). Seriously. I stood there in awe after every 20 minutes the hostess would say, "yours is coming next". I got it for free, and it was awesome. but jesus h. Christ, it was only a salad with a piece of salmon on top. This was in the Ches Beach location.

Curious? Was the salmon, 'wild fresh pacific', or the, 'frankenfish aqua farm raised'? The latter being not fit for human consumption.
